Symposium Topics (Ticks and Mites):

The Symposium will cover all aspects of acarid biology as well as the most recent innovations in mite and tick management and control. The Symposium topics will include plenary lectures, oral communications and posters. It will be organized according to the following provisional scientific sessions.

  1. Phylogeny and Systematic.

  2. Genetics and Molecular Biology.

  3. Biotechnology.

  4. Evolutionary.

  5. Taxonomy.

  6. Biology (Diapaise, population, colonization, …., etc.).

  7. Biological Control.

  8. disease transmission to livestock.

In addition to the outlined symposia, contributed papers are invited in any field of acarology.

 

Language:

The official language of the Symposium will be English.

An Arabic summary is appreciated.

 

Regestration Dates:

  • 30 April, 2003: Early Registration and Abstract Submission.

  • 30 June, 2003: Late Registration and Abstract Submission.

  • 30 Sept., 2003: Authers of Accepted Abstracts are Notified.

 
Accommodation, Tour, Travel & Transport:

All travel services, Facilities for different kinds of tours during and after the Conference, Conference fees, accommodation and tours reservations will be available in the 2nd announcement.

 
Social Events:
  • Sat. 10 Jan., 2004: Welcome Reception (include in fees).

  • Tues. 13 Jan., 2004: Nile cruise, including dinner (optional)

  • Wed. 15 Jan., 2004: Giza and Cairo sight seen: Pyramids, Sphinx, Museum, Mosques, Churches (included in fees).

  • Friday 16 Jan., 2004: different post Congress tours will be offered (optional).
